Day 10

Not bad for my tenth day along so far! Made my third lens - It's about psoriasis, and I think quality wise it's up next to my first lens. My second lens still being purely for ad-revenue and profit, as it's not really about anything I'm that passionate about. I submitted the second and third lenses to stumbleupon.com, since I just noticed that my most popular lens is actually getting the MOST clicks from stumble. Right-on! So heres the stats as of now:

Video game site is Ranked #136 in Games, #1758 overall
Beer Box Hat Site is Ranked #164 in PopCulture, #39449 overall
My newest, Psoriasis skin disorder site is Not ranked yet since I just made it 20 minutes ago.

Ideally I'm going for like, 100 lenses or something ridiculous, but I want them all to be somewhat fairly decent quality, so I'm just making lenses about stuff I like or know a lot about until I can't come up with any more ideas.... Till tomorrow.

Day 9

Woohoo!!! My first lens Ranked #136 in Games, #1758 overall today! I obliterated my goal of ranking 199 in games, and am setting my new goal to #99 in games! Kickass! I also did some deep searching and found a few friends I haven't talked to in a really long time on facebook. I now have 134 friends. Ugh I'm tiiiiiiiiired.

Day 8

The latter half of day 7 was spent at a party in Everett. Why we went all the way up north for a party, I don't know, but it wasn't all that bad. Afterwards, came back home to Pauls house where I proceeded to help myself to the jubilee of holiday munchies they have sitting on their kitchen counter, then had a half-hour chat with pauls doberman pinscher, "Danger" before falling asleep on the couch. Oh day 8... you devilish bastard you. I awoke at around 9 AM after what I swear was a 3 hour long epic ass dream of war and conquest, among a hundred other things, to Paul and Monika walking out the door I guess to go to the hospital for something. I knew I felt really messed up, but couldn't really tell what was really going on with myself. Almost immediately after they left, I was awake just long enough to really begin to realise something was very very wrong with me. It wasn't my typical hang-over, no this was much, much more scary. I honestly felt like I had been poisened. It was just brimming into a I-should-definitely-do-something-very-soon-or-I-could-die-maybe-soon type of feeling rushing over me over and over. The last time I felt that feeling was Warped Tour 05 when I ate way too many Amazonian Cubensis, and me and dan went completely insane together in my van with the doors locked for about 3 hours. That was the kind of trip that once you find yourself getting a grasp on reality again, you feel the urge to kiss the ground and vow never to ever do drugs again. Well this felt worse than that, AND I was alone. Alone is never good when your on drugs. Ever. Turns out I ate 2 pot cookies that monika had just made that were sitting on the counter. Wow, that sucked! But at least now I knew what I was dealing with, and the urge to hospitalize myself drifted away. I used to smoke a lot of weed in high school, but I haven't smoked or been high in ages, so to wake up feeling like that, that was definitely not a good feeling. I eventually just grew out of getting high all the time, and have since grown to hate being high. And waking up this morning, I was REALLY REALLY high. It was not fun, probably the worse high I ever had. But thank god thats all over and I'm sober, ugh it totally sucked!!!

In other, less interesting news, I found a sweet site that helps you learn languages and meet other people who want to do the same. It's social networking, for people who wanna learn new languages! Awesome! It's called Livemocha.

I currently have 117 friends on facebook, and lot's have yet to confirm friend requests. I like facebook because you only add friends you actually know.

I updated my goozex.com lens on squidoo, and posted some things at squidU.com. It's currently ranked 221 in games and #3185 overall.

I downloaded a crap of rad music by Bonobo and Funki Porcini. Cool music, definitely good relaxing brain music after all the freaking out I did all earlier today high off pot cookies. (sheesh)

Day 6

I awoke at around 5 AM with a thirst that could kill a camel. I ran downstairs and just about chugged a gallon of orange juice. That probably wasn't such a good idea. Ugh, so much sugar. I usually don't drink juice at all. I pretty much just drink water, and occasionally I get drunk, but water is definitely my beverage of choice. Health and wellness is probably one of my biggest interests. Hey, that gives me a great idea for my next lens! Ah, it'll be my best lens yet!

I made a LinkindIN page, as well and started learning all about that stuff. I decided to join a few groups,(all still pending approval) among them is a group called LinkedSEO. Being still fairly new to this term I Googled it and learned all about white-hat and black-hat SEO's. I'm going for the white-hat SEO reputation... of course. It's interesting, I knew I wanted something to do with this whole Internet marketing thing, but couldn't really put a name to it, and I'm thinking SEO is what I'm looking to make my next profession. Or well, since I've never really had one to begin with, I think thats what I'll be doing a lot of research on for the next few days to see if it is where I want to go in life.

I also set up a Site Meter counter and statistics tracker for my blog, so I can see if anyone's actually reading this thing. Of course I'm sure nobody is yet, but it'll be nice to track my progress. (Update: turns out someone is! Apparently since I started 5 days ago 71 visits ignoring my browser... not bad!)

Installed Tweetdeck, to track all my new tweet.com friends. I like it, it's black and sleek, and has an apple company-style look to it. I've always likes apple's clean, sleek application styles and layouts. Everything they make looks good actually, I'm won't lie haha.

Went to a few lenses on how to get started up worth mentioning: http://www.squidoo.com/easyboost, http://www.squidoo.com/theanswerdeck/hq, http://www.squidoo.com/tricks. The tricks one says:
"A *LOT* of people get completely hung up on trying to increase their lensrank. But why?! A higher adsense share won't make you rich, and fretting about your lensrank will not get you any more sales. You need to concentrate on getting more visitors and sales, not on getting your lensrank higher. Don't take your eyes of the goal. And don't get it backwards, like too many other people."

Thats interesting, and I've heard it a few times now, and I think I'll take it into consideration, even though it's my current goal to see my first lens get to 199.
Got myself a Digg. Not quite sure yet how helpful it's going to be. It doesn't seem signing up is going to provide me with any special benefits, but we shall see.

Also changed the layout and looks of the site, to a much cleaner, subtle look. (trying to imitate something pretty made by apple lolsies)

Day 5

Started the day of pretty slow with a headache and a hangover. Yippie. Did a lot of friend adding on twitter, and read two really good articles about twitter.com, from Convinceandconvert.com.

http://www.convinceandconvert.com/social-media-marketing/7-ingredients-in-the-perfect-twitter-profile/

http://www.convinceandconvert.com/social-media-marketing/why-twitter-is-the-anchor-of-the-social-media-team/

I'm learning that twitter is more and more impressive that I previously thought. This Internet era is blowing up like a gigantic explosion. I also found an awesome blog, but can't quite figure out how to follow in through my blog, since the girl who runs it, has domain name forwarding, and no link to add to my blog. (maybe I'm missing it?) And thats weird since she has all the other ways of connecting. I'm pretty sure I'm the one missing the link somewhere.

I now have 98 friends on facebook. and theres still tons of my friends I haven't even sent friend requests to yet! SWEEEET my game trading lens is now ranked #212 in Games, #3262 overall
Coming along nicely! I've almost reached my goal of 199th place in games! Beer box hats is at #32,461 overall#136 in Pop Culture & Celeb. I should definitely make a few more lenses, but ugh this wine hangover is no joke! I'm also meaning to eventually getting around to signing up to... well most of the sites on HERE. As well as uploading all of my pictures onto a new Flickr. I have over 5000 pictures though, so it miiiiiiiiight take a while. But at least it's waaay better than my current myphotoalbum.com that is CONSTANTLY asking me to pay a yearly fee, and all this other bull. Time to upgrizzade! Oh, and I also need to revamp this blog, get a diff layout and background, just haven't gotten arount to it yet. Also thinking of creating a scrapplet like this guy. to kind of centralize everything else I do on the web, so I can just send people to my scrapplet and from there they can find anything I've made of signed up for. Basically like a personal webpage.

Day 5 Update:
Well thats gay that it costs 24.99 per year your unlimited storage on flickr but it's... really understandable. I think my first real money goal, is going to be to make enough money from scratch online, to pay for a years membership on flickr. Here is my flickr page by the way.

Day 4

Woke up in a great mood today aside from the fact my niece is like a crybaby AIR-HORN. Threw some mac n cheese on the stove on high and ran up and hopped in the shower. I love a challenge from time to time. Not the healthiest thing I could have chosen, but I have no regrets. I got "Shohen Jumps - One Piece Pirates Carnival" for gamecube in the mail from goozex. Another game I likely won't get around to playing for a month or more. It's supposed to be similar to the mario party games, and was only 100 points, so I was all about it-bout it.
Dropped a few twitter messages and joined twitorfit.com in hopes of attracting more twitter users. I now have 53 following and 16 followers. Not bad, I think I had about a fifth of that yesterday. I checked my facebook and I have 74 friends. Spent about an hour looking for some more friends. I checked my lenses and woohoo! I've more than doubled the clicks since yesterday! Currently on my goozex lens I'm #4,559 overall and #269 in video games!! My goal of reaching 199 is DEFINITELY in reach now! What a jump in just a day! That got me pretty excited! My beer box hats lens is at #94,398 overall and #305 in Pop Culture & Celebs. It definitiely has some ways to go. It's much more of an ad-infested lens, and it's gonna need a lot more TLC before it's anything I consider worthy.
In other recent news, some friends of mine visited from up north, (bellingham) and brought some long-needed goodies to help me in my conquest for online financial freedom! I traded an extra gamecube and some games, some ninja gear I had laying around (caltrops, throwing knives, tree climbing spikes) for 90 adderall pills. 27 30Mg and 63 20Mg oblong pills. (lol so what, I went through an AWESOME ninja phase, don't we all?) Today is a good day. My brother and his wife are downstairs putting a turkey in the oven, my dad just found the half gallon of bacaardi I hid from him in the freezer, (might as well help him drink it haha) and my continued motivational drug of choice has been secured for the coming few months of serious internet networking. Hey, I don't mean to come of as a total lush druggie, but tonight (we celebrate christmas on christmas eve, so my parents can watch us all open presents together) is a night for celebrating happiness with the famdamly, and I was diagnosed with A.D.D. when I was like 8, I just haven't had health insurance for the past 5 years, and it hasn't been easy tracking down adderall, despite the fact I know hundreds of college kids. Everyone wants the stuff, it's a hot commodity, luckily it's winter break and nobody has any finals. lol Can you tell the adderall kicked in about halfway through this blog?

Day 3 Continued

I got Metroid prime 2 for game cube in the mail today from goozex.com. God I love that site, I have like 15 games on the back burner I haven't even had a chance to play yet, because I get them so fast, and don't really have time to play em yet! I also got The Complete Prophecies of Nostradamas in the mail today, from swaptree.com. Someone also requested Crysis: Warhead from me too, for 500 points, so I'm stoked about that, since there are a ton of gamecube games I want right now that are only 100 and 150 points!

I made a facebook page today. I deleted my old one a while back, when I was going through a minimalist phase. Man adding all my friends again is a pain in the neck! I have hundreds! At least that's a good thing. A great thing!

After spending an hour or two adding friends and farting around on facebook (very easy to do) I spent another hour or so adding girls that sounded interesting to my twitter. Hmmm I should remember to make a lens about makeup of those fuzzy boots that every girl in the world loves to sport all the time. Especially now that it's snowing like a madman. Also added a few groups on XFIRE and posted a blog on there about free games. (GENIUS!) Hopefully I'll get a lot of poeple over to my game trading site from there.

Made another lens! Woohoo my second one. It's a little less interesting and more niche, since of course it's just beer hats, and I can only get that exited about something that silly. BUT I know theres people out there that have never heard of them before, and I'm sure I can get some sales from em!

Wow man, while adding a rediculous amount of friend on my twitter, I was instant messaged by a completely random person, who was claiming I said all of this rediculous stuff! Well turns out, theres a TWITTER AIM BOT, that randomly makes two twitters with the same aim name start talking to each other, for no apparent reason! Luckily the other person had been through it before, and knew what was going on, and sent me to the wikipedia pages about this odd AIM BOT. Ya learn somethin everyday! BUT THEN get this, I started talking with the random person, and told him about my game trading lens, and showed them, and they might sign up!! Isn't that crazy? Just goes to show any thing can happen, and clicks can come from literally anywhere!!

Day 3

Today so far I've been packing my brain full of great marketing and traffic ideas. Added some links on the left, and updated my twitter. Joined paperbackswap.com for a new lens on squidoo I'm gonna make soon. My current only squidoo is ranked #392 in video games, and #7,681 overall. My current goal is to have it rank #199 in video games. So that means I gotta get a lot of eyeballs in front of it!
Everytime I open up Mozilla I have it set to a radio station from last.fm just streams the whole time. It's one of the best lil' plugins I've found that's helped me stay creative and get stuff done. It's so much easier when your listening to awesome music! I hear new stuff all the time, and sometimes I gotta stop what I'm doing and track down an artist and download all their stuff because it hit's me in just the right way. I've found so many awesome new artists, like hooverphonic, kid loco, Bonobo, Mr scruff, nightmares on wax, and wax tailor. All artists that totally get me in an awesome mood. I feel like it's important to be in a good mood and optimistic when your trying to powerhouse and get a ton done!

Where it began :

About two weeks ago I met a girl, who has her own site, and lives and pays rent solely off of the earnings she makes from the site. Given the site is not your average ad-sense blogger per se, it's a bit too x-rated for that, but it still got me thinking about how I've always wanted to make a lucrative thing out of the Internet, and had heard of other people supporting themselves off of just writing about products and stuff they already use. I asked her what she thought about a few things and I was quickly convinced that the money is there, I just gotta go get it. I'm not completely walking into the dark, I did teach myself a fair amount of html back in high school, and even made a few silly websites (that didn't go anywhere) and I am familiar with much of the newer technology. I have my COMPTIA A+ certification. Why don't I pursue computer repair you might ask? Well, not only have I been fixing computers since I was about 14, (thats 10 years ago) but I have never wanted the whole "office job" stigma that goes with it all. I've always felt I was meant to do my own thing, and in my own way. Computer repair definitely could pay the bills, but with more and more people flooding into the industry (and rightfully so, it's one of the most secure industries to get into) bundled up with our current economy situation, not only is it hard to get a job doing it, it's also definitely NOT what I want to grow old doing. I'm never going to be able to travel the world the way I want to fixing computers all day. Nor am I going to find the kind of girlfriend I want, playing around with some motherboards and electro-static wristbands.
So I've been in an unemployment rut for a while now, and laying in bed the other day I began trying to justify my situation. Currently in Washington state we have damn near 2 feet of snow, and I'm definitely not going anywhere anytime soon. I don't want to go out and look for jobs, I don't want to go to interviews, I don't want to pretty much do anything with myself. But I can't just sit around in my room dreaming, some kind of action has to happen. I looked out into the winter wonderland, and told myself if I can just get started, it will all snowball after a while. And so my journey began. I started googling things like making money online, or blogging for profit, and came across this site. (www.Premiumeproducts.com) Run by a guy names Khai.

Of course that looks like your typical ebook sale website (I would know) I read it anyways. Regardless it had a lot of good juicy knowledge! Theres something about the name Khai thats interesting to me, but I'm not sure what it is. He talks all about "literally copying and pasting his way to success." Don't knock it right away though, half of bad criticism comes from poor knowledge and general ignorance, I thought. Good thing I did some thinking, lol I'll need to if I'm going to profit off of anything online. His basic concept is to imitate those who are wealthy and successful by understanding their business model - An excellent lesson.

I'm pretty poor at the moment, living back with my parents (augh well gotta get it out :p) so Instead of buying his ebook "15 Product Creation Studies" I just decided to be thrifty and google all of the people in his book. First though I started with khai. I found a personal website of his called http://www.aboutkhai.com/. I scrolled down reading various tidbits of information, then got to an educational video by his business partner - Jaz Lai called Educational Video About Using PLR Products. It was fairly informational. After watching that I clicked on the link to "blog paycheck" because that was after all pretty much exactly what I was looking to do/ learn about. I eventually ended up at http://www.gobalakrishnan.com and I checked all that out, then on the right on his blogroll I clicked on http://www.sabahan.com I forget where I went from there, but I eventually found myself on Seth Godin's squidoo site, where I learned all about squidoo.com
Where I learned all about squidoo.com. I signed up and have been jam-packing my brain since that moment! I also made my first squidoo!

Let me know what you think!

My conquest to the holy moneybags of mt. internet

Well well well. I've just joined the mob of bloggers. It feels... hmm. Well it doesn't exactly feel that new, but it feels pretty good. I've always wanted to get into writing, and I've been hot on the Internet cash revenue trail for about a week now, and starting a blog keeps popping up over and over. I'd like to document my journey either way to see where it can take me! I will be writing it like I am keeping myself a journal. Notes from here, links from there. All my experiences and learned lessons will be jotted down for later. I've always been a heavy archivist. That might have to do with the fact I'm a virgo though.
